Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was raised in the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's dad Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. She has two younger brothers and a older sister. Parents moved to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan tensions and she was born and raised in Bahrain. The schooling she completed was at Bahrain and she was awarded a Scholarship to attend the University of Sydney. There she was awarded the Media and Communications degree. To further develop her love of cultures, languages and other languages, she was enrolled at the Berlitz schools of languages in order to master Spanish in addition to improving French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she took home the title in 2006. The TV show she appeared on was founded after winning the Miss Sri Lanka title. The show she hosts, Lanka Business Report, is about Sri Lankan business. Padukone was the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and was raised in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played in national level badminton competitions, but quit playing and went on to become a fashion designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, India. Her native language Konkani is where she comes from. Her lineage hails from Padukone village, which is located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District of the State of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend, who retired in the late 1980s. The mother of her daughter, who worked for a travel agent, is also from this village.
